Secret #1: What you focus on expands. If you are solely focusing on paying off your debt, you will drain yourself. Instead, place your awareness on saving money. Even if you are saving a couple dollars a month. It is the act of saving that is important. Write down the investments you plan to make with the money you are saving (i.e. house, college, car). Get descriptive. Have fun with it. Focus on the fact that you manage money well.

Secret #2: Your negative beliefs about money limit your ability to make the amount you dream of. What do you think about rich people? Is there a part of you that believes you do not deserve to have a lot of money? Are you going to waste all the money you earn? Will you not be a good person if you focus on making money? Did your parents teach you that money does not grow on trees? If any of your answers have a negative slant, it shows that you need to change your perceptive.

Suppose you feel all rich people are selfish and greedy. Why would you want to be one of them? See how this negative view can limit the money you make in your life? You don't want to be like them so why would you make the kind of money they do. ~ To shift your thinking, meet with or read about some rich people you admire. Find out how they donate their time and money to organizations. How, like all of us, they struggle and make sacrifices. How they are kind-hearted and generous. You may find that your perception of rich people changes the more you get to know them. And that you have more of a desire to make a lot of money so you can help the same organizations.
